Almost 500 people have been injured after a huge meteorite flared spectacularly in the skies above the Russian city of Chelyabinsk. It broke windows, damaged buildings and caused panic.

People have described that the meteorite explosion sounded like a nuclear bomb. Here's some close up footage.
